The subject of the research is theoretical, scientific, methodological and practical provisions on adult education in HEIs, professional pre-higher education institutions and other providers of educational services in the relevant direction. The purpose of the research is to prepare proposals for methodological, standard and qualification support for updating the adult education system, especially in the context of military aggression and post-war reconstruction of the country. The research deepens scientific understanding of the legislative and regulatory support of adult education, expanding the theoretical basis for further research in this area; the proposed approaches and results contribute to improving the methodology of labour market analysis, which can be used to forecast the needs of society and the economy; the developed recommendations for improving the nomenclature of professions in the National Classifier of Ukraine DK 003 are important for the theoretical substantiation of the systematisation of professions and occupations in the context of integration into the international classification system; the theoretical provisions can be used to formulate strategies for the development of adult education in Ukraine, providing a scientific basis for making managerial decisions. The practical value is that the obtained scientific results contain proposals for improving the methodological, standard and qualification support of updating the adult education system, especially in the context of military aggression and post-war reconstruction of the country.
