The processes in the ionosphere were analyzed under conditions of ionospheric disturbances caused by geospace storms of various nature and solar eclipses. The parameters of traveling ionospheric disturbances were identified and estimated using GNSS measurement data. The geophysical information obtained at Institute of Ionosphere was compared with that obtained in previous periods of ionospheric research, as well as with data from other radiophysical facilities (the world network of ionosondes, incoherent scatter radars, etc.) located in different regions of the globe. The results of equipment modernization, development and improvement of measurement data processing algorithms and programs were obtained, which allowed expanding the capabilities of the radiophysical equipment of the Institute of Ionosphere and increasing the reliability of obtaining information about the near-Earth environment. The results of investigations are used to develop and validate the regional model of the ionosphere and can be used in basic studies of solar-terrestrial relationships and geospace, to solve applied problems related to the effect of ionospheric plasma on telecommunications systems, the operation of satellite equipment in outer space and the accuracy of geopositioning systems.
