The research has made it possible to: identify the key issues of criminal law protection of information security which require study of international experience; systematise the main areas of criminal law protection of information security in Ukraine; identify groups of socially dangerous acts encroaching on the sphere of information security; and establish scientific approaches to their qualification and differentiation from other criminal offences. The results of the research can be used to improve the state policy in the field of criminal law support of information security, to increase the effectiveness of law enforcement and to minimise the risks associated with information threats.
