Research subject – the impact of intense physical loads on metabolism processes and the performance of skilled athletes. Research purpose – increasing of qualified athletes' preparation efficiency through correction of metabolism processes during intense physical effort. Research methods: analysis of scientific literature, anthropometric, biochemical, physiological and methods of mathematical statistics. Results: Modern insights into the regulatory role of hormones in metabolic processes and the application of key endocrine system indicators for monitoring athletes' functional states have been systematized. The understanding of basic endocrine indicators for controlling and assessing metabolic shifts under intense physical load has been expanded and refined. The system of control and evaluation of functional state, speed of recovery processes and urgent influence on metabolic processes in response to training and competitive loads are scientifically substantiated. New methods for controlling metabolism, risks of developing iron deficiency states and distress have been introduced. These advancements provide a scientific basis for optimizing training and external factors to enhance training effectiveness and competitive performance, creating prerequisites for maximizing athletes' individual potential, especially during the Olympic Games.  Product Description popup.authors Varvinskyi Oleksandr P.
