Object of research: Legal acts, organizational structure, processes, and procedures within the framework of organizational and legal support for sports. Research methods: Analysis of legal acts; scientific and methodological literature and web resources; research of international experience. Based on the results of the research, data on the current state of organizational and legal support at various levels of sports were analyzed and systematized. The necessity of improving the organizational and legal support of sports was scientifically substantiated. A model for the development of sports science was formulated, and ways to improve the organizational and legal basis of scientific support for athlete preparation were substantiated. The study emphasized the effective use of scientific potential and modern innovative technologies in the system of preparing qualified athletes for major international competitions. The main directions of sports legislation regulation were determined, including general provisions of civil legislation concerning subjects in the field of sports, in terms of their participation and role in the organizational and legal support of children's, youth, reserve, and elite sports. Based on the analysis of international experience, the main principles for the development of scientific and methodological support as a component of high-performance sports were developed for the regulatory and organizational form of national high-performance sports.
