The object of research - soil formation processes, physical, agrochemical and physical-chemical properties of typical chernozem under conditions of application of cultivation methods and fertilisation system in short rotation crop rotation. The results of the study show that balanced fertility indicators in terms of physical, agrochemical and physical-chemical properties were achieved by growing soybean (N30P60K60) and winter rape (N90P60K90) and introducing by-products of predecessor crops: under ploughing, the humus content exceeded the control values by 22%, while under disking and No-till technology - by 14% and 12%, respectively. The increase in productivity of short rotation crop rotations was the highest for ploughing (1.6-1.8 t/ha d.m.), while disking (1.2-1.4 t/ha d.m.) and No-till technology (1.1-1.2 t/ha d.m.) showed a tendency to decrease.
