At the first stage of the research, general scientific research methods were mainly used to substantiate the theoretical foundations of social inclusion in the field of higher education; following the tasks set, the theoretical methods prevailed: analysis (content analysis, system analysis), classification, generalization etc. As to research results, the prevalent concepts of social inclusion in general and social inclusion in the field of higher education were explored; international and national standards for ensuring social inclusion in higher education were analyzed and systematized; indicators of social inclusion in the field of higher education were developed; theoretical and conceptual foundations for the formation of a culture of social inclusion in higher education for post-war Ukrainian society were formulated; the concept of the financial dimension of social inclusion in higher education was introduced into the domestic scientific discourse. Based on the research results, a concept of social inclusion relevant during wartime and post-war period was formulated that interprets social inclusion as: - involvement of higher education institutions in post-war recovery processes through the actualization of the first, second, and third university missions; - mobilization of university potential to fulfill strategic and current tasks of rebuilding, reviving, and healing Ukrainian society by expanding the offer of educational services and knowledge products for various categories of individuals and legal entities; - increasing the number of learners by creating an attractive environment in higher education institutions for different groups of students, including those with special educational needs.
