A bibliosemantic method was used to determine the state of research on the problem of hard dental tissue morbidity in children with gastrointestinal diseases by analyzing the results of previous scientific studies based on domestic literature and electronic resources for the period from 1994 to 2024 by the query “Diseases of the gastrointestinal tract in children”, “Caries in children with gastrointestinal diseases”. In total, the study used more than 50 papers that meet the purpose of the study. An epidemiological survey of children aged 7, 12 and 15 years in the Lviv region was conducted to assess the prevalence of mesial occlusion. The results of the survey were analyzed depending on the climatic and geographical conditions of residence (mountainous, foothill, and plain areas). The survey results were compared with the prevalence of mesial occlusion in 2007 and 2013. The survey was conducted in accordance with WHO recommendations according to the traditional scheme with an in-depth study of orthodontic status in the dental office, taking into account the main provisions of the Helsinki Declaration for Biomedical Research (Seoul, 2008). Statistical processing of the results was performed using the Microsoft Excel 2010 computer program package. The results were statistically processed using the Student's t-test.
