TIMBER INDUSTRY COMPLEX, VALUE CHAIN, RESOURCE POTENTIAL, GLOBAL VALUE CHAINS, FOREIGN TRADE SECURITY Development of theoretical and methodical support, scientific and practical recommendations for the restructuring of value-added chains in Ukraine’s timber industry during the post-war period. The necessity of improving the state regulation and support for the development of the Ukrainian timber industry in the postwar period is substantiated. Recommendations on the application of forest policy instruments in the war and post-war periods are developed. The theoretical foundations for identifying the main substantive determinants of ensuring foreign trade security are deepened through the use of bibliometric analysis tools. The methodological approach to the integrated assessment of the competitive advantages of the products of the Ukrainian forestry complex in the world market has been improved, combining comprehensive indicators for assessing the products of the forestry complex with high, medium and low added value, indices of revealed comparative advantage (RCA) and contribution to the trade balance (CTB) calculated for the products of the forestry complex in terms of value added. The methodological approach to identifying existing and prospective clusters of timber and wood products in the regions of Ukraine and determining priority areas for their development has been improved, which, unlike the existing ones, includes: assessment of the scale and importance of timber and wood products in the region; assessment of the resource and export potential of the region; identification of existing and prospective clusters of timber and wood products in the regions of the country.
