It has been determined that at temperatures lower than the sintering temperature and under pressures up to 8 GPa, the grain size of the alloys remains constant, grain growth is almost absent, and can fluctuate within the type of alloy (for medium-grained alloys of up to 3 μm). At the same time, the periods of the crystal lattice of WC carbides decrease, the more intense the higher the pressure and the lower the temperature. The material also undergoes hardening, its hardness increases to 1 HRA and the stress intensity factor increases to 20%. The stress state of the sintered and treated samples changes from compressed (after sintering) to tensile (due to the action of pressure and temperature). Macrostresses for WC-6(Co+Ni) alloys vary from -195 MPa (normal sintering) to +106 MPa (HPHT). The efficiency of the materials increases: in rock-breaking tools up to 30% (WC-6Me alloy) and up to 50% in deformation tools (WC-15Me alloy). Product Description popup.authors Ilkova Valentyna A.
