The subject of the study is models and methods of evaluating explanations in intelligent information systems The purpose of the work is to develop methods and information technology for evaluating causal explanations in intelligent information systems to select a clear description of the decision-making process when presenting such systems as a "black" or "gray box". Research methods are set theory; probability theory; opportunity theory. Methods for assessing the correctness, sensitivity, and complexity of explanations in intelligent information systems have been developed. Information technology for evaluating explanations based on correctness, sensitivity, and complexity constraints has been developed. The results obtained can be used to assess the quality of explanations in intelligent information systems, in particular to analyze their correctness, clarity, and relevance, in order to ensure the support of user trust in the system's decisions.
