The purpose of the work is to develop mathematical models of spreading and burning of flammable liquids that take into account the features of the underlying surface. Research methods. To describe the process of spreading a liquid on a surface, methods of the theory of differential equations are used. Experimental determination of parameters is carried out on the example of impregnation of crude oil into sand. To find the shape and size of the spill, the equation of the mass balance of the liquid on the soil surface was used. When analyzing the similarity of the spill processes at different values ​​of the parameters, the Taylor series expansion was used. The finite difference method was used to numerically solve the balance equation. A mathematical model was constructed, consisting of a system of two differential equations and describing the dynamics of liquid spreading on the soil with its simultaneous burning and infiltration into the depth.
