The concept of ecosystem services can be applied to assess the negative consequences of armed aggression. Ecological assessment should be based on universal principles that can be applied to a significant territory both now and in the future, relying on retrospective information. It is the data of remote sensing of the Earth that meet these requirements. Therefore, the development of tools that will allow deciphering remote information for the quantitative characterization of ecosystem services is an important and urgent task. At the second stage of the R&D, the role of landscape and biological diversity of terrestrial ecosystems in supporting ecosystem services under military influence was clarified. According to Sentinel, Landsat and MODIS data, the temporal variability of ecosystem services at different scales was assessed. The patterns of spatiotemporal variability of water erosion of soils were established based on the RUSLE model, wind erosion of soils – based on the RWEQ model. Trends in the temporal dynamics of ecosystem services were established. Based on the trends in the temporal dynamics of ecosystem services, taking into account landscape and biological diversity, the role of diversity in the formation of functional stability of ecosystems was clarified. For artificial forest ecosystems of the urban environment (Botanical Garden of DNU) and non-urban artificial forest belts (a polygon near the village of Mayorka, Dnipro district, Dnipropetrovsk region), data were obtained that became the basis for creating a database of physiological and biochemical adaptations of plants to the simulated consequences of military operations.  Product Description popup.authors Ivanko Iryna A.
