These doses do not exceed 0.50 mSv·year⁻¹ in Kyiv region, 0.67 mSv·year⁻¹ in Rivne region, and 1.04 mSv·year⁻¹ in Zhytomyr region, compared to the RCT criterion of 1 mSv·year⁻¹. A further decline in average annual internal exposure doses was recorded in the settlements: a 1.7-fold decrease in Polissia TC (from 0.030 mSv·year⁻¹ in 2019 to 0.018 mSv·year⁻¹ in 2022); a 1.1-fold decrease in Ivankiv TC (from 0.018 mSv·year⁻¹ in 2019 to 0.016 mSv·year⁻¹ in 2022); a 1.5-fold decrease in the settlements of Rivne region (from 0.156 mSv·year⁻¹ in 2020 to 0.104 mSv·year⁻¹ in 2023); and a 1.8-fold decrease in the settlements of Zhytomyr region (from 0.084 mSv·year⁻¹ in 2021 to 0.047 mSv·year⁻¹ in 2024). It is worth noting that the current stage of research shows a more rapid decline in radiation exposure levels across all regions compared to the previous period (2018–2021), during which the decrease ranged from 1.03 to 1.4 times. The primary factor contributing to internal exposure doses remains the intake of ¹³⁷Cs through wild food products, particularly forest mushrooms, in all settlements. In the Rivne region, a second major contributing factor is the intake of ¹³⁷Cs through milk from domestic or local farms. In the majority of milk samples collected from residents of the settlements in Rivne region (75%), the ¹³⁷Cs content exceeded the permissible level of 100 Bq·L⁻¹, with a maximum recorded value of 387 Bq·L⁻¹. The maximum registered ¹³⁷Cs content in dried mushroom samples collected in Kyiv region was 209 kBq·kg⁻¹, in Rivne region—24 kBq·kg⁻¹, and in Zhytomyr region—572 kBq·kg⁻¹. These values exceed the permissible level of 2.5 kBq·kg⁻¹ by tens, and in some cases, hundreds of times. Product Description popup.authors Bilonyk Andrii B Bessmertna Olena I Borovkov Serhii I.
