Kholodny Institute of Botany, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. The work aimed to study biologically active substances, establish the biological activity of the studied strains of mushrooms in culture, and create recommendations for preserving these species in culture (passport). Research methods - mycological, microbiological, physiological, electron microscopic. As a result of the research the content and dynamics of the accumulation of polysaccharides, polyphenols, melanins, and ganoderic acids by strains of the studied species. The antimicrobial activity of the studied strains was established for gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms, as well as for micromycetes. The antioxidant activity of strains of species of the genera Ganoderma, Pholiota, Xylaria. Fomitopsis and Inonotus were studied. The influence of cultivation conditions on the dynamics of accumulation of biomass and biologically active substances was established. Biotechnologically promising strains were selected - producers of biologically active substances and biological activity. During the implementation period of the topic, one monograph, three chapters in collective monographs, 55 articles, and 29 theses were published.
