Monitoring and evaluation of science and technology results, information and analytical support for the science and technology sector and its management are the main mechanisms for a successful science and technology policy. Using general scientific research methods, expert surveys, system analysis, bibliometric and scientometric analysis and evaluation, monitoring and scientific research were conducted on the financial support of scientific and technological activities, the results of scientific research and development, the status of the creation / implementation of scientific and technological products in 2023 and the fulfillment of the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine for conducting scientific research and scientific and technological (experimental) developments, other areas of budget financing of the scientific and technological activities. One of the significant results is the monitoring of the implementation of the priority areas of science and technology development defined by the state, priority thematic areas of scientific research and scientific and technical developments and priority areas of innovation activity (national and sectoral levels). The implementation of critical technologies in the field of weapons and military equipment production and the creation and implementation of scientific and technical products was monitored according to the data of the main administrators of budget funds. Based on the results of the study, information and analytical materials were also prepared on global trends in the development of the field of science and innovation, Ukraine's positions according to world rankings and international databases.
