Object of study – peculiarities of supralittoral fauna as a rare component of the biota of marine ecosystems of Ukraine. Purpose – to obtain information about the biodiversity, genetic characteristics, and vulnerability of supralittoral fauna as a rare component of the biota of coastal marine ecosystems of Ukraine and to propose ways to protect it during the post-war recovery period. Proposals were made to expand the network of marine protected areas of the Tuzly Estuaries NNP: the Budak Estuary with unique sandy shore habitats protected by the Bern Convention was proposed for conservation. In addition, endemic isopods are widespread in this area and need to be protected. The novelty of the work is that the studies revealed new sources of endemism in the biota of the Azov-Black Sea basin. A number of supralittoral species were evaluated according to the IUCN criteria. The results of the work are recommended to supplement the Proposal for the expansion of the network of protected areas will help to preserve the rare supralittoral fauna of marine ecosystems in the conditions of post-war recovery. This will contribute to efficiency in the socio-economic aspect, as Ukraine is obliged to implement the standards of the European Union's environmental policy in its environmental protection system, in particular the Berne Convention and the EU Habitats Directive, as part of its European integration.
