The purpose of the work is to determine the optimal conditions for the synthesis of a number of xanthene dyes and to study their spectral properties; development of convenient methods for obtaining new types of N,S-amidoalkylating and related reagents with heterocumulene groups. Research methods are chemical synthesis, thin-layer chromatography (TLC), X-ray diffraction analysis (XRA), infrared spectroscopy (IR) and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy, ultraviolet spectroscopy (UV), mass spectrometry and quantum chemical calculations. Developed: The following methods are proposed for synthesizing a xanthene pH indicator, N-amidoalkylated derivatives of 2,5-diamino-1,3,4-thiadiazole, a xanthene-like pH indicator, and derivatives of 4,5,6,7-tetrahydrobenzofurans.
