The fast-paced and ever-evolving nature of today's world imposes stringent demands on a contemporary philologist and English language and foreign literature instructor. Therefore, the importance of the department's Scientific Research Work (SRW) is determined by the necessity to address the current difficulties. The research focuses on contemporary linguistic, educational, literary, and translation issues, analysed in the context of globalism and multiculturalism. The objective of this study is to analyse contemporary linguistic, pedagogic, literary, and translation phenomena from the perspective of globalism and multiculturalism, with a focus on the professional training and holistic development of English and foreign literature instructors and philologists. Job tasks: 1) Study and application of modern theoretical aspects of linguistic didactics in education. 2) Analysis of current translation strategies and phenomena in translation studies, including the study of translation as a tool for ideological opposition. 3) Examination of current trends in literary studies, particularly in literary comparative studies, to develop analysis and interpretation skills for future English and foreign literature teachers. 4) Presentation of research findings through scientific articles in specialised periodicals, textbooks, lecture courses, and educational programmes. Research approaches include pedagogical observation, generalisation of advanced pedagogical experience, descriptive-generalizing, cultural-historical, comparative-historical, comparative, structural-semiotic, and others.
