The finite element method was used to conduct mathematical modeling of thermal processes during welding. The mechanical strength and elongation at failure of welds were studied in uniaxial tension on a Shimadzu AGS-10kNX testing machine in accordance with DSTU EN 12814–2:2018 and ASTM D1002–10 (2019). Macro- and microstructural studies of sections of welded joints were carried out using optical microscopy methods on a Versamet-2 microscope in accordance with DSTU EN 12814-5:2018. X-ray structural analysis of polymeric materials and their welded joints was performed by the method of wide-angle radiography on a Shimadzu XRD-7000 diffractometer according to the Bragg–Brentano X-ray optical scheme for the reflection of the primary beam by the studied sample using CuK-radiation ( = 1.54 Å) in the range of scattering angles (2) from 3.0 to 40.0 degrees. Experiments were performed on ultrasonic welding of various polymeric materials. It was shown that welding in “hard” modes of ultrasonic vibrations allows for the production of joints at increased speed while maintaining their high quality. Experimental work on high-frequency welding of polymer fabrics laminated with PVC was carried out. The possibility of welding complex products of large area was shown. An experimental method of welding polymers was developed and investigated, which consists in forming a welded joint by initiating an electric explosion of a embedded element in the joint zone. The effectiveness of using different types of embedded elements was tested, Product Description popup.authors Buinova Yevheniia O. Halchun Anatolii M. Holianda Oksana I. Demchenko Valerii L.
