Specifically, the period between the wars in the 20th century in Czechoslovakia and the post-war period in the USA, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, and others has been analyzed, represented by the activities of emigrant artists such as V. Yemуts, M. Teliha, O. Kosyts, P. Schurovska-Rossinevych, H. Kytasty Z. Shtokalko, V. Lutsiv, V. Mishalow, Yu. Kytasty, and others, as well as emigrants from the latest wave of Ukrainian emigration caused by the Russo-Ukrainian war, which is aimed at national self-identification and the assertion of Ukrainian culture worldwide. The typologization of creative universalism among Ukrainian emigration/diaspora artists has been proposed, specifically analyzing the performing (solo, ensemble, conducting) direction; design (musical instrument makers); compositional (creation of original compositions, arrangements, and adaptations); pedagogical and methodological (teaching and forming techniques for playing, singing, conducting); research and journalistic (publishing scientific articles, monographs, and press publications); administrative-organizational (leading educational institutions, cultural centers, managing collectives, publications); and managerial-organizational (preparing concert, sound recording, publishing, scientific, and festival events) types, as well as their synthesis. Throughout the project, a number of multifaceted scientific studies have been carried out regarding the activities of Ukrainian diaspora artists from various countries. Their work demonstrates the principles of creative universalism and distinct signs of national identification through art genres, imagery and thematic spheres, and symbolic and stylistic systems.
