The purpose of the work is to create methodological recommendations for the study of land management documentation for its compliance with forest, water and environmental legislation. Research methods are analysis of expert practice, systematization and analysis of regulatory documents. Theoretical and practical results are a methodology for use in expert practice. Novelty is the work is relevant, since at present there are no methods for studying land management documentation for its compliance with the requirements of forest, water and environmental legislation, therefore, for the first time, a methodology for conducting forensic examinations to establish the compliance of land management documentation with the requirements of relevant regulatory acts has been developed. Implementation effectiveness is in the event of implementation, it will increase the evidentiary value of examinations and expert studies, will contribute to the improvement and reduction of the terms of conducting examinations and expert studies.
