The purpose of the work Improving the results of surgical treatment of patients with degenerative neurocompression syndromes of the lumbar spine by applying existing and developing and implementing innovative neurosurgical technologies, determining polymorphisms of collagen genes COL1A1rs1800012, COL9A1rs1135056, COL11A1rs1676486 and vitamin D receptor VDRrs2228570 in people with degenerative neurocompression syndromes of the lumbar spine. Research methods are clinical: clinical neuro-orthopedic examination, radiodiagnostic methods, neurophysiological examination; statistical methods; molecular genetic - study of the association of polymorphisms. Results and their novelty: 1. Expanded scientific ideas regarding the features of the correlation of clinical manifestations and the results of structural and morphological research methods (including genetic modifications of collagens) in patients with hernias of the lumbar spine. 2. Based on the study of existing minimally invasive methods of surgical treatment of patients with degenerative compression syndromes, the feasibility of developing innovative technologies has been proven. Practical significance of the research. On the basis of the conducted diagnostic studies, the scheme of preoperative examination of patients with herniated intervertebral discs of the lumbar spine has been improved. The optimal tactics of surgical treatment for patients with degenerative neurocompressive syndromes of the lumbar spine using a differentiated surgical approach have been developed
