Gryshka National Botanical Garden NAS of Ukraine popup.description1 The goal of research is the development of biotechnologies for obtaining and increasing biosynthesis in plant systems of biologically active compounds: natural hemostatic, wound-healing compounds and substances with antidepressant action. popup.description2  Research report: 90 p., 14 tables, 19 figures, 108 literary sources (70 in Latin script), 3 appendices. The goal is to determine the optimal conditions for cultivating and obtaining biomass of medicinal plants and increasing the content of phenolic compounds and flavonoids in plant. Subject of research – medicinal plants: Bletilla striata, Matricaria chamomilla, Achillea millefolium та Hypericum perforatum. Methods used: in vitro culture; atomic absorption spectrometry methods; acute seed irradiation method; methods of introductory research; quantitative and qualitative methods for determining secondary metabolites; statistical methods for data processing. Biotechnological principles have been developed to increase the yield of phytoraw materials and the content of valuable compounds of medicinal plants (M. chammomila, A. millefolium, H.perforatum) by pre-sowing X-ray irradiation of seeds. It was found that the stimulation of the synthesis of phenolic compounds depended on the species characteristics, plant organ and radiation level. The features of biotechnology for reproduction and introduction into culture of B. striata were developed. It was found that the stress caused by the transfer of plants from in vitro to open soil did not inhibit the growth and development of plants. Methods for growing Bletilla in open soil under temperate climate conditions were developed. 8 scientific works have been published: a chapter of a monograph and a catalog, an article (Scopus), conference abstracts (5). 3 applications for patents for a utility model and an application for a yarrow variety have been filed. A layout of the brochure "Development of modern phytotechnologies for the cultivation and use of aromatic and medicinal plants with an increased content of biologically active compounds" has been prepared. Key words: biotechnology, cultivation conditions, medicinal plants, growth and production process, biologically active compounds Product Description popup.authors Andrushchenko Olena L.
