The subject of the study is theoretical and methodological principles and practical recommendations for using the tools of the mechanism for implementing the logistics potential of multimodal transportation involving water transport in Ukraine. The purpose of the work is to form a mechanism for implementing the logistics potential of multimodal transportation in Ukraine involving water transport. When solving the main research questions based on statistical reporting, analytical reviews, materials from professional publications, and the authors' own scientific developments, the following results were obtained: - the essence of the concept of "logistics potential" and the theoretical principles of logistics potential management were investigated; - the conditions for implementing the logistics potential of multimodal transportation were substantiated; - the methodology for assessing the logistics potential of multimodal transportation involving water transport in Ukraine was improved; - the role and place of Ukraine in the global system of multimodal cargo delivery were assessed; - the analysis of the main indicators of the activity of Ukrainian sea container terminals was carried out; - the impact of full-scale invasion on the state of international multimodal transportation was studied; - a toolkit for the mechanism for implementing the logistics potential of multimodal transportation was developed; - directions for increasing the level of efficiency of using multimodal complexes in seaports of Ukraine were formed; - methodological recommendations were developed for determining the ways of developing port infrastructure for multimodal transportation.
