The proposed new scientific concept in the form of perioperative tactics for managing pediatric patients with prehepatic and hepatic forms of portal hypertension, aimed at integrating the combination and sequence of endoscopic and surgical treatment approaches, has important scientific and applied significance in the practical activities of a pediatric surgeon in achieving compliance of medical care for children with portal hypertension with world standards of medical care, their consistency with clinical guidelines, and improving the quality of life of patients by minimizing surgical complications and eliminating threatening manifestations of the disease.
