Purpose - to establish the regularities of obtaining cathode and anode and structural materials for hydrogen generation and storage. Research methods - computational, electron microscopy, energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, electrode impedance spectroscopy, photocolourimetric method, linear voltammetry, flexible cathode method. The following have been developed: recommendations on the conditions for the synthesis of materials based on ferric metals and properties in relation to the cathodic hydrogen production reaction; polymer-inorganic composite materials for storage devices; an electrochemical reactor cartridge for hydrogen production with simultaneous electricity generation. A set of experimental studies on the kinetics of dissolution of aluminium and its alloys of different purity and composition; on determining the composition of the electrolyte and the parameters for the synthesis of electro-catalysts for hydrogen production based on iron group metals were carried out. The physical, mechanical and thermal properties of polymer-inorganic composite materials for hydrogen storage devices were determined. Areas of application: C 20.11 Production of industrial gases; C 20.13 - production of other basic inorganic chemicals; M 72.19 - research and experimental development in the field of natural and technical sciences.
