Karazin Kharkiv National University popup.description1 The main goal of the project is to solve a number of problems in the theory of electromagnetic fields and applied electrodynamics, which are aimed at establishing important physical laws, knowledge of which is necessary to create multifunctional elements, frequency-selective surfaces and radiating systems of microwave, EHF and terahertz with the inclusion of multilayer artificial media (metamaterials) and planar ultrathin films of the new generation. popup.description2  A rigorous solution to the problem of diffraction of an eigenwave of a dielectric waveguide on a finite system of graphene ribbons placed in a dielectric plate is constructed. - For the first time, a rigorous solution is obtained for the problem of diffraction of a plane electromagnetic wave on a system consisting of a perfectly conducting infinitely thin disc and a half-plane. The electrodynamic characteristics of a disc microstrip antenna with a set of slot inhomogeneities are investigated. Experimental studies in the microwave range of the electromagnetic spectrum of a metasurface based on separately placed crossed metal strip gratings with different and equal periods that can be mechanically tuned are carried out. On the basis of the model of two semi-infinite periodic gratings lying in the same plane, new physical regularities concerning the influence of the edge of the periodic structure on the scattered electromagnetic field are obtained. The electrodynamic models for the study of defects in a two-layer and multilayer infinite structure are constructed. A GPU-accelerated solution of the singular integral equation with discretisation and using a Nystrom-type algorithm is developed. The basic provisions for the design of devices for wave conversion, excitation and transmission are formulated. The solution of the problem of plane wave diffraction on an ideally conducting and infinitely thin half-plane and two discs is obtained for the first time using the operator method. The possibility of implementing mechanical tuning of the resonant response of a ferroelectric-dielectric metasurface operating in the terahertz range is shown. The obtained results have significant potential for Ukraine's defense, security, and economic sectors, contributing to the advancement of modern technologies for stealth, communication, surveillance, and detection. These new solutions open up prospects for implementation in military equipment, monitoring systems, and future communica Product Description popup.authors Borodkina Antonina O. Kaliberda Mstyslav Ye.
