The effect of temperature factors on the growth and bioactive compound content in hairy roots of Bidens pilosa L. was investigated. In transgenic Bidens pilosa roots, an increase in flavonoid content, enhanced antioxidant activity, and differences in response to temperature stress were observed. These differences are considered potential pleiotropic effects resulting from the expression of rol genes from Agrobacterium rhizogenes in root cultures. At the same time, transgenic tomato plants of the "Shedevr 1" variety carrying the human interferon α-2b gene, as well as lettuce and kale plants expressing the antibacterial protein colicin M, showed no morphological differences from the control group, indicating the absence of pleiotropic effects related to the expression of the recombinant pharmaceutical protein in these plants. Similarly, no pleiotropic effects or phenotypic changes were observed in biotechnological rapeseed plants obtained through genetic transformation with the epsps gene, which confers glyphosate herbicide resistance. The obtained results meet high international standards and contribute valuable insights into the stability and safety of transgenic plants for agricultural and pharmaceutical applications.
