The obtained research results will shed light on the solution of many problems in the selection of flax, because now the potential of the culture is not fully disclosed and is limited by various abiotic factors. In addition, the requirements for the quality of oilseed flax seeds are significantly increasing. There is a high demand for flaxseed oil, which is rich in omega-3 fatty acids and flaxseed products that contain fiber. Mucous substances from the surface of flax seeds are identified as a valuable source of dietary fiber that can be used to prevent gastric cancer. In many countries, much attention is paid to this culture as an indispensable product for functional nutrition. Intensification of agriculture necessitates the cultivation of more agricultural products per unit area, so HDPE is aimed at creating varieties of flax more adapted to adverse agro-climatic conditions that respond well to the application of mineral fertilizers, modern protection, and innovative tillage technologies. The purpose of the study: verification of the reliability of the assessment and the objectivity of the selection in different systems of standards in the competitive test of oil flax. Basic research methods. In the analysis of the descendants of the first generation by plant height, the highest heterosis by trait was observed in hybrids, where thematernal form was a tall parental component and depression where the lowest parent component used. According to the results of research in the control nursery of linseed, three samples exceeded the standard for seed yield Simpatik/Evryka, No. 317 and Vodogray/Sonyachny (1.78-1.85 t/ha), by 0.01-0.8 t/ha, respectively . All selected samples were characterized by the level of oiliness in the seeds in the range of 40-42.0%. In the preliminary variety test, the Southern Night standard (1.71 t/ha) was exceeded in terms of seed yield by three samples of oil flax: KR5-19/24, KR4-20/24, KR1-19/24, at the level of 0.14-0.29 t/ha. All selected samples were characterized by the level of oiliness in the seeds in the range of 40.0-42.0%. In the competitive variety test for seed yield, the standard variety Pivdenna Nicht 1.8 t/ha exceeded the oil flax samples PSV2-20/24 and PSV4-20/24 (2.1 t/ha and 2.03 t/ha), which on 0.3 and 0.23 t/ha more, respectively. In terms of oil content, most of the studied samples were in the range of 41-43%, and in terms of oil yield - 0.65-0.72 t/ha.
