The need to use new effective means of surgical intervention in animals is obvious in order to reduce the rehabilitation period of the injured animal and to prevent primary and secondary complications. Research methods: 1. Clinical examination of animals that came to the clinic for fractures of the bones of the axial skeleton: - Examination; - Palpation; - Additional methods (various tests). 2. X-rays (as an additional method for clarifying localization and differential diagnosis) were performed on the Vatel-1 X-ray machine. 3. Data processing of the examined animals. 4. Selection of a rational surgical method of fracture treatment. 5. Postoperative treatment and stimulation of osteogenesis. All animals that underwent surgical treatment (n = 10) were divided into two groups: control and experimental, five animals in each group. The animals were kept in the conditions of the clinic's hospital (for 3 days after the operation) in a well-ventilated and illuminated (natural and artificial lighting), dry room at a temperature of 22-24º C and in home conditions. The animals were cared for daily, in the morning. Before the operation, each animal was subjected to an individual clinical examination according to the generally accepted scheme: general examination and measurement of body temperature, pulse and respiratory rate. The anatomical topographic structure of the musculoskeletal system, its functional capacity and various types of sensitivity were also assessed.
