Subsequently, a list of known cultural heritage objects will be composed with the additional topographical representation of all enlisted archaeological sites. Evaluation should be made of any existing hazards and potential threat for the known cultural heritage objects as a result of project implementation. Historical, archival and bibliographic materials were processed, a historical and bibliographic reference was compiled on known cultural heritage sites, and an analysis of archaeological research materials from previous periods was performed, Lists of known cultural heritage sites were created, and all known cultural heritage sites were mapped on a topographical basis. According to bibliographic and archival data, there are 86 archaeological sites located in the studied area. The absolute majority of monuments (94%) are barrows and barrow groups. There are no known archaeological sites at the construction site of the bridge crossing over the Dnipro River (stage 1 of construction). Within the 100-meter engineering corridor of the 2nd stage of construction (Northern bypass of Kremenchuk city) there are 6 objects as barrows and barrow groups from the Eneolithic to the late Middle Ages. The physical and geographical conditions of the territory are favorable for the location of various types of archaeological objects. All known archaeological sites or those that may be discovered within the highway impact zone are in the area of potential risk. They will be directly impacted during construction with significant irreversible negative consequences. Monument protection measures have been developed taking into account the provisions of International Conventions, the norms of current national legislation and the EBRD Environmental and Social Policy based on the mitigation hierarchy. This involves taking measures to avoid impacts on cultural heritage from the outset of the project or, if this is not possible, taking additional measures to minimise or mitigate or, as a last resort, compensate for any potential residual negative impacts on archaeological sites.
