An agreement was signed with a military hospital for cooperation in scientific and medical work to conduct research. A dissertation by Ivan Kuzmuk on hearing impairments in patients who suffered an explosive ear injury has been planned. Tables of monosyllabic speech audiometry tests in Ukrainian, which had not existed since 1991, were developed and validated. For the first time in Ukraine, the "Tinnitus Handicap Inventory" questionnaire was validated for assessing hearing function and quality of life in patients affected by acoustic or barotrauma. Additionally, the "Vertigo Symptom Scale" questionnaire was translated, culturally adapted, and validated for the first time in Ukraine to assess the severity of dizziness symptoms. An analysis of domestic and international literature was conducted regarding the association of possible pathogenetic links between the expression of bid, bad, bak, and bcl-x genes and sensorineural hearing loss. During the study, a high frequency of vestibular syndrome was found in patients with sensorineural hearing loss. To improve the screening of such disorders, universal software has been developed to enable early diagnosis and treatment of vestibulopathies, particularly in patients who have suffered acoustic or barotrauma.
