Karazin Kharkiv National University popup.description1 The work is devoted to the study of the physical and dynamical properties of those asteroids that have close approaches to the Earth and, on the one hand, pose the risk of collision with our planet, and on the other hand, are promising sources of minerals, alternative to traditional sources. The main aim is a detailed characterization of the physical properties, orbital evolution and origin of asteroids approaching the Earth, and selection of the most promising targets from the point of view of the future exploration of space resources. popup.description2  New photometric observations of 37 near-Earth asteroids and polarimetric observations of 8 near-Earth asteroids were carried out, including 16 potentially hazardous objects and 3 newly discovered asteroids. Analysis of the obtained observational data allows us to determine the physical properties of asteroids, knowledge of which is necessary for studying the origin and evolution of near-Earth asteroids, asteroid hazard assessment, and identifying the most promising targets for space exploration. The most accurate size, albedo, and rotation period of the potentially hazardous asteroid (98943) 2001 CC21, which is selected as the target of the Hayabusa2 extended space mission, were determined. A superfast rotation with a period of 36 minutes was detected for asteroid 2020 WG. Model calculations of the dynamic evolution of near-Earth asteroids were performed with improved accuracy thanks to the use of a new theory of analytical calculation of the Yarkovsky force. Numerical modeling of the evolution of the orbit of the potentially hazardous asteroid (153201) 2000 WO107 was carried out and the probability of the asteroid crossing the Earth's orbit in the next 10 thousand years was determined. The compositional types of 170 near-Earth asteroids were determined based on the results of the analysis of the database of the European NEOROCKS project.
