Karazin Kharkiv National University popup.description1 The aim is to elucidate the mechanisms of solubility of a binary mixture of metals under conditions of a limited number of atoms, as well as fundamental aspects of constructing an accurate thermodynamic description of mesoscopic systems with internal degrees of freedom of particles. popup.description2  In the framework of the research project, we performed a thorough analysis of the impact of a finite number of particles in the medium on the energy spectra and ground states of quantum mesoscopic systems in external fields. We also consistently studied the contributions of the magnetic degrees of freedom of atoms to spatial correlations in the periodic structures of low-dimensional systems. We performed numerical calculations of the main thermodynamic parameters and their dependencies on temperature and amplitudes of the external field for the corresponding experiments with cold neutral atoms in laser fields. We developed a theory based on microscopic approaches from the first principles and modern numerical algorithms (tensor network approaches and dynamical mean field theory), which is capable of describing the many-particle states and magnetic properties of mesoscopic systems with sufficient accuracy, as well as providing the opportunity to predict a number of new physical effects, such as the quantitative behavior of heat capacity and magnetization in the vicinity of phase transitions, exotic types of magnetic ordering and nonlocal correlations, the zero-sound phenomenon and Landau damping for high-spin systems.
