Karazin Kharkiv National University popup.description1 The aim of the project is to expand the diagnostic capabilities of novel ultrasound Doppler methods and to create new sensor systems for biomedical applications based on elucidating the physical bases underlying the formation of local response of biological objects to various physical and chemical factors popup.description2  The present research project was aimed at extension of diagnostic possibilities of novel ultrasound Doppler techniques and development of new sensor platforms for biomedical applications. The mechanisms underlying the ultrasound response at the coherent plane-wave compounding have been studied, the sensitivity function of ultrasound system has been found, the characteristics of the Doppler spectra and spatial resolution of the Doppler diagnostic modes have been ascertained, the improved algorithms for studying the viscoelastic properties of soft tissues have been developed. The model of luminescent centers of yttrium oxide polycrystals allowing to explain the dose- and radiation time dependencies of luminescence intensity has been proposed. The multiplexed sensor platforms for monitoring the process of pathological protein fibrillization through analyzing the fluorescence response of multichromophoric ensembles have been developed and tested. The fluorescent test-systems for investigation of antiviral drug interactions with model lipid membranes and functional proteins have been elaborated. The prototypes of protein- and lipid- based drug nanocarriers have been created and optimized in terms of their composition and payload efficiency for fluorescent visualizing agents.
