Karazin Kharkiv National University popup.description1 The aim of the project is the development and implementation of effective laboratory methods for obtaining new hybrid nanocomposites based on noble metal nanoparticles, surface-functionalized with stimuli-responsive ligands and fluorescent dyes popup.description2  Using the methods of modern organic synthesis, physicochemical methods of research, quantum chemical calculations and molecular dynamics modeling, a number of synthetic and spectral problems have been solved concerning the design of new fluorescent probes, labels and sensors based on 3-hydroxyflavones and their heteroarylanalogues modified with anchor lipophilic groups to enhance non-covalent interaction with biomacromolecules, proteins, polymeric and metallic nanoparticles. The interaction of a new fluorescent probe based on dodecylcarboxy-substituted 3-hydroxyflavone with polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) at different polymer concentrations was studied and it was found that the affinity of the probe for the polymer depends on the concentration and morphology of PVP in solution. The spectral properties of the modified natural amino acid 4-cyanotryptophan (4-CN-Trp) were synthesized and studied, and the use of this derivative as a substitute for native Trp in biomedical research was outlined.
