Volyn as an agrarian and border region has unique conditions for the development of production, but it requires the adaptation of modern approaches to the quality and environmental friendliness of goods of various functional purposes. Coordinated efforts of specialists in the fields of commodity science, materials science, technical regulation, food technologies, customs and trade are key to the successful implementation of such approaches. The use of local or imported raw materials, as well as technologies adapted to the specific conditions of the region, allows achieving a high level of product quality and its environmental compliance. The development of recommendations for institutions and enterprises of the Volyn region, taking into account these aspects, will contribute to: • increasing the competitiveness of products in the domestic and foreign markets, • compliance with international standards, • minimizing the negative impact of production on the environment, • sustainable economic development of the region. Particular attention should be paid to the implementation of a product quality assurance system at all stages of its life cycle - from production to disposal.
