The purpose of the work is to establish the fundamental laws of the kinetics and mechanism of the electrochemical synthesis of electrocatalysts for cathodic and anodic processes that occur during electrolytic hydrogen generation. Identification of the kinetic laws and mechanisms of electrochemical processes involving the synthesized electrocatalysts in aqueous electrolytes containing dissolved urea. Research methods are linear and cyclic voltammetry, chronoamperometry, titrimetry, scanning electron microscopy, X-ray spectral electron probe microanalysis. The thermodynamic features of the anodic reaction of urea oxidation combined with cathodic hydrogen evolution are analyzed. The main patterns of the influence of the composition of electrolytes based on low-temperature eutectic solvents and the conditions of electrolysis on the main patterns of the process of electrolytic deposition of nickel-based electrocatalysts have been established. The electrocatalytic activity of the synthesized electrocatalysts in the reactions of hydrogen and oxygen evolution and urea electrooxidation has been evaluated.
