The project's main task is to optimize the accumulating and controlled utilization of thermal energy in such systems. popup.description2 As part of the reporting stage, comprehensive research was conducted to create and characterize composite materials based on organic phase-change compounds, particularly saturated hydrocarbons with phase transition temperatures close to room temperature (hexadecane, eicosane). These materials were integrated into synthesized nanostructured silicon and carbon-based structures with varying morphologies. The obtained systems were analysed using advanced research methods, including: X-ray diffraction analysis, differential scanning calorimetry, optical and scanning electron microscopy, photoacoustic techniques. The developed methodologies enable precise diagnostics of the structural and morphological characteristics of composites, paving the way for recommendations on synthesizing new materials with enhanced properties and further investigation of their thermophysical characteristics. The results demonstrate the high potential of the developed materials for efficient thermal energy storage and accumulation.
