Head Samaryk Volodymyr Ya., Доктор хімічних наук Registration Date 17-03-2025 Organization Lviv Polytechnic National University popup.description1 Creation of new polymerhybrid hydrogel systems with high absorption capacity for therapeutic drugs and a defined rate of release of these drugs, controlled by the design of this system and its composition. popup.description2 Systematic studies of the formation features of polymer hybrid gelatin-alginate, alginate-chitosan hydrogels were conducted. The dependences of the properties (physical and mechanical, water and exudate absorption capacity) on the composition of hydrogels and the method of their formation were obtained. Methods for saturating these hydrogel systems with several biologically active substances (lidocaine, diclofenac sodium, chlorhexidine gluconate, aloe vera extract, and rosemary essential oil) were developed. For some of the biologically active substances used (lidocaine, chlorhexidine gluconate, aloe vera extract), pharmacokinetic studies of their release from the hydrogel were conducted. Based on the knowledge obtained, several hydrogel products for medical purposes and hydrogel products for cosmetology were created. In particular, analgesic hydrogel medical dressings based on lidocaine and diclofenac sodium (the latter are analgesics with anti-inflammatory effects), antiseptic hydrogel dressings containing chlorhexidine digluconate and hydrogel cosmetic masks containing aloe vera extract and rosemary essential oil. Technological bases for the industrial production of these products have been developed and, using a certified pilot plant for the production of medical devices, limited experimental and industrial batches have been released. The manufactured batches of hydrogel products were distributed to familiarize the medical community with the properties of the developed products and transferred to the Scientific Center for Preventive Toxicology, Food and Chemical Safety named after Academician L.I. Medved of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine for preclinical testing. As a result of preclinical testing for hydrogel dressings with lidocaine, chlorhexidine digluconate, and aloe vera extract, sanitary and hygienic conclusions were obtained.  Product Description popup.authors Budishevska Olha H.
