Two emulsifier systems were used to obtain the creams: Tween 20 or 80, glycerol monostearate, cetostearyl alcohol and Olivem 1000, glycerol monostearate. The type of emulsion system was confirmed: oil in water using the developed method (microscopic method using methylene blue, which stains the external hydrophilic phase). Allantoin, dexapanthenol, the dry chamomile extract were additionally introduced into the cream based on pumpkin seed oil as the components with wound healing properties. Along with the development of the compositions and technology of the creams, an express study of pH measuring and microbiological studies (determination of microbiological purity (quality) of the developed creams) were conducted. The experimental studies showed that the creams met the requirements for microbiological purity of medicinal products for cutaneous administration, the pH value was close to the pH of the skin (5.5). The developed formulations were tested for microbial purity in accordance with the developed methods. Along with the development of the cream compositions, preclinical experimental studies were conducted to assess the irritating effect in the HET CAM test and wouldhealing properties. The cream bases with linseed and olive oils and creams containing 45% snail mucin extract (Helix aspersa) were evaluated in the native state. For accurate and objective interpretation of the results, a digital microcamera with the ability to photofix key points of the study was used. Experimental studies showed that cream bases with linseed and olive oils do not cause an irritating effect; a cream containing 45% snail mucin extract (Helix aspersa) based on linseed oil showed a weak irritating effect; cream containing 45% snail mucin extract (Helix aspersa) based on olive oil did not cause Product Description popup.authors Kuzminov Borys P.
