The object of the study is the physical culture and sports rehabilitation of servicemen with disabilities and injured as a result of combat activities in a full-scale invasion. The research was conducted within the framework of a systematic approach using theoretical methods (analysis and synthesis of information sources, programme and guiding documents) to reveal the essence of the problem and identify ways to solve it; pedagogical methods (testing and observation) to determine the effectiveness and efficiency of programmes, guidelines, normative indicators and training standards; methods of mathematical statistics to process test data and predict future results. Results and novelty. The research team provided proposals and worked out recommendations for optimising the content of physical education and special physical training of servicemen of higher military educational institutions for the period of martial law.The chosen direction of research is related to the implementation of capabilities FDR-2.6.1. «Organisation and conduct of physical training and sports activities in the Armed Forces of Ukraine» and DG-2.10.1. «Organisation of physical culture and sports in the defence sector», as well as the operational objective «The ability of the defence forces to deter and repel armed aggression», which meet the military criteria for Ukraine’s membership in NATO and integration with the military-political, military-economic, defence-industrial and other capabilities of the state.
