The purpose of the work is to create methods and tools for mathematical and computer modeling of the processes of functioning of computer-integrated systems as part of power plants for the study and provision of qualitative indicators of the specified class of systems, effective solution of problems of analysis, synthesis and construction of control means taking into account the limited information resources. The effectiveness of the models has been studied and the main approaches to building simplified models of objects with distributed parameters have been identified, the main ones being the principle of separation of variables, operational methods, and the method of integral transformations. A method for structural simplification of the mathematical model of an object with distributed parameters and modeling problems of non-stationary processes for their further implementation in the relevant software has been proposed.
