The strength of the influence of the breeding index value in the herd of LLC “Miroslavel-Agro” on milk yield for 305 days of cow lactation was 67%, milk fat - 88, milk protein - 77, total fat and protein production - 86%, in the herd of PE “Galeks-Agro” - 71%, 87, 74 and 84%, respectively (P < 0.001). We recommend using for herd repair cows belonging to the first two groups with a breeding index value of at least +23.0 (for Miroslavel-Agro) and +26.3 (for Galeks-Agro). It is advisable to sell the animals with the worst milk production, with the lowest value of the breeding index (-44.9 and -51.7, respectively) to subsidiaries or other farms. According to the degree of phenotypic consolidation for the block of traits characterizing reproductive capacity, the experimental groups of animals of the herd of PE “Galeks-Agro” were placed in the following sequence: Group 3 (+0.183), Group 4 (+0.133), Group 2 (+0.090). The values of the coefficients of phenotypic consolidation of animals of these groups are characterized by a positive value and insignificant variability.
