The goal of the research work is to determine the appropriateness and necessity of conducting the research, which is caused by the urgent need to improve the legal and regulatory framework governing the legal capacity of the structures that are members of the International Gendarmerie and Police Forces Association in the status of a military institution FIEP, particularly in the field of public safety and order maintenance, including professional intervention. Developing the theoretical and legal foundations on this issue will contribute to increasing the efficiency of ensuring public safety and order, which is one of the most important functions of the state. The relevance and importance of the first stage of the research work lie in the formation of the main directions for the study, the analysis of guiding documents that will help examine the legal capacity of the structures that are members of FIEP in the context of their status as military institutions, as well as their role in ensuring public safety and order, particularly in matters of professional intervention. At the material selection stage, sources and legal documents were analyzed that will help form the theoretical basis for further analysis. The history of the creation, structure, and main tasks of the International Gendarmerie and Police Forces Association in the status of a military institution FIEP were considered. Textbooks, training manuals, and methodological recommendations from the Department of Professional Training of the General Headquarters of the National Guard of Ukraine were also analyzed. The main tasks of the National Guard of Ukraine as a full-fledged member of the International Gendarmerie and Police Forces Association in the status of a military institution FIEP were defined.
