First-calf cows under organic production conditions were characterized by a higher manifestation of quantitative traits of milk production regardless of the calving season compared to their peers under conventional conditions and somewhat lower - qualitative traits. It is worth noting that in the conditions of both farms the most favorable is the first calving in the autumn, and the least favorable is the summer period, which gives grounds to plan calving in the autumn. The results of our research show that animals using organic technology, regardless of the calving season, were statistically (P<0.01-0.001) higher in age at first calving and in the period of pregnancy. For other signs of reproductive capacity, no statistically significant difference between the groups was found. The season of the first calving in organic and conventional milk production conditions determines from 0.3 to 4.7% and from 0.2 to 3.3% of the total phenotypic variability of milk production traits; from 1.0 to 2.9 and from 0.6 to 2.5% - reproductive capacity. Statistically significant influence of the season of the first calving was found only in the conditions of PE “Galeks-Agro” and exclusively on the productivity traits. In particular, on the duration of lactation - 3.2%, milk yield for 305 days of lactation - 4.3, milk fat - 4.7, milk protein - 4.3, milk fat and protein - 4.7, as well as on the duration of the dry period - 2.9% (P<0.05-0.001).
