PRODUCTIVITY, SUSTAINABILITY, PSEUDO-TSUGA MENZIESII, EUROPEAN LARCH, PLUS TREES, PLUS PLANTATIONS Research topic 18 “To investigate the effectiveness of reforestation in the Carpathian region based on selection and introduction” involves the use of research results previously conducted by the Institute; current legislative, legal and regulatory acts; stock and departmental materials of the UkrRFI, Lviv expedition of the Ukrainian State Project Enterprise “Lisproekt”, Lviv and Transcarpathian state zonal forestry laboratories and forest enterprises of the region; analysis of foreign and domestic scientific and practical experience. Objects of research - in 2022 in Ivano-Frankivsk SFE at the State Enterprise “Vyhoda, Bolekhiv, Nadvirna, Kalush, Kolomyia, Delyatyn, Vorokhta, Verkhovyna, Hryniava, Osmoloda forestry”, Lviv SFE - State Enterprise “Skole, Starosambir, Bibra forestry” and Zakarpattia SFE. The purpose of the study is to effectively use the achievements of forest breeding and introduction to improve the productivity, sustainability and quality of newly created plantations for various purposes. Research methods. forestry and taxation - for determining the taxation indicators of forest stands and individual trees; quantitative and qualitative self-seeding and undergrowth under the canopy of plus plantations (PN), forest genetic reserves (FGR) and permanent forest seed plots (PFSP); selection and form - to determine the selection structure of plantations and polyformism of species (form diversity); mathematical and statistical - for desk-based processing of experimental materials using computer technology and establishing correlations.
