PRODUCTIVITY, SUSTAINABILITY, QUALITY, INTRODUCTION, FOREST BREEDING, SPECIES MIXING SCHEMES, TARGETED USE, EFFICIENCY, REFORESTATION The topic of the research work No. 18 “To investigate the effectiveness of reforestation in the Carpathian region on the basis of selection and introduction” involves the use of research results previously carried out by the Institute; current legislative, legal and regulatory acts; stock and departmental materials of the UkrRFI, Lviv expedition of the Ukrainian State Project Enterprise “Lisproekt”, Lviv and Zakarpattia State Zonal Forestry Laboratories and forest enterprises of the region; analysis of foreign and domestic scientific and practical experience. Objects of research - forest crops with the participation of introducers in the branches “Bolekhiv, Kolomyia, Nadvirna, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kalush, Osmolod, Verkhovyna, Vorokhta, Deliatyn, Mizhhiria, Uzhhorod, Mukachevo, Rakhiv, Starosambirske, Drohobych, Skole, Slavske, Stryi, Putyla forestry of the State Enterprise “Forests of Ukraine”, Tlumach and Tysmenets inter-farm forestries, Ivano-Frankivsk regional municipal agroforestry enterprise Ivano-Frankivskblagrolis, Halych National Park and Hoverla NNP (Carpathian National Park), Berezynka, Vysokohirnyi, Dibrova arboretums, Hutsulshchyna National Park. The aim of the work is to effectively use the achievements of forest breeding and introduction to improve the productivity, sustainability and quality of newly created plantations for various purposes. Research methods. Use, analysis and synthesis of long-term stock materials; conducting field and field research in plantations with the participation of promising exotics based on a systemic forestry and ecological approach - using international methods operating in the system of the European Forest Genetic Resources Program (EUFORGEN).
