The purpose of the work is to study a set of problematic issues that arise in the course of international cooperation in the field of forensic activity, which is implemented through a systematic analysis of scientific and methodological, procedural, forensic sources, the study of domestic and foreign forensic practice, as well as the development of a set of relevant theoretical provisions, methodological recommendations and proposals for improving this area of international public relations. In the conducted research the scientific and methodological literature on this issue was studied, identified the features of international factors that affect the effectiveness of international cooperation in this area were identified, methodological approaches to its further spread and improvement were analyzed. Also the practical aspects of the activities of forensic institutions when providing international legal assistance by conducting forensic examinations, involving foreign specialists to conduct examinations, and conducting other activities on international investigations of war crimes were considered. This work was based on domestic research, foreign forensic practice, and personal practical experience of the authors in this area, thot allows us to recognize it as the first comprehensive multi-faceted scientific research in the field of international forensic activity, which was carried out in forensic institutions of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine.
